England's fan all over the world are not in illusions that their ship of hopes has just crashed out of the world cup.
Fabio Capello at fault?
Or the refferee?
The linesmen?
Players?
Lets see...
Defensive Backline
John Terry thinks he's a defensive midfielder of all a sudden. What is he doing so far up? Its leaving space for the 3-man German forwards to play "you can't catch me~"
Matthew Upson was seriously a weak spot in the defensive, right on the middle. You can't really blame him as he had tried his best. And you can't blame Capello as well as i don't think he has any other options.
Upson being not able to fill in the central defensive void properly, making it a need for Glenn Johnson to always been covering up for him, leaving the right back slot empty for German wingers and bombers to fly.
Ashley Cole might have been the best defensive player for England but too bad that counted for nothing.
Midfield Engines
Gareth Barry seems to be out of steam. Lose of concentration, letting players pass through. Where's the rising holding midfield that we saw several years back?
Frank Lampard is one of the unfortunate ones. But i don't remember seeing him tracking back to defense. He can't be sitting up so far while Barry was eventually struggling back there.
James Milner too, not tracking back when Johnson was shifting a little more inside. Yes, few good runs, but not good enough to cut it through.
Steven Gerard, owh Gawd. Is he playing left midfield? No? I thought he's playing attacking midfield like in Liverpool. There's several times that Rooney can't find anyone to pass to at wide left.
Forwards
Wayne Rooney. I thought he's been at his best at central forward for Manchester United this season. Why is he still sitting a little deeper like a second striker instead? and he still likes to go wide left when nobody wants to go there...
Jermaine Defoe. Tried his best for central forward. But i seriously think England needs forwards that are faster and taller and bigger and better at putting balls behind the net.
Tactical errors? Bad coaching? Bad luck? Jabulani?
You decide where is wrong...
